FAQ — Boat Time Curaçao

1. How do I book a boat or activity?

You can book directly through our website. Choose your date, select your activity, and complete the reservation. You’ll receive instant confirmation by email.


2. What’s included in the boat rental?

All rentals include the boat, fuel, safety equipment, a cooler with ice, and a friendly captain.
Some tours also include drinks—details are listed on each activity page.


3. Do I need a boating license?

No, you don’t need a license for our standard tours. Our captains handle all navigation for you.

For self-drive options, you do need a boating license for coastal waters.
The captain will always handle leaving the harbor and docking for safety reasons.

Self-drive is not possible for fishing trips.
For all other activities, we’ll explain everything clearly before departure.


4. Where do we depart from?

Most tours depart from Kima Kalki Marina N.V.
Some private charters may use different docks depending on the route.

Your confirmation email always includes the exact departure point and directions.


5. What should I bring?

We recommend bringing:

  • Swimwear & towel
  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses
  • Water shoes (optional)
  • Snacks or drinks if you want extras — you’re free to bring your own

6. What about bad weather?

Safety comes first.
If weather conditions make the trip unsafe, we will reschedule your tour or offer a full refund — no hassle.


7. Can children join?

Yes! Most tours are family-friendly.
Children under 12 must wear a life jacket at all times (we provide them).


8. Can I cancel or reschedule?

You can:

  • Cancel up to 48 hours in advance → full refund
  • Cancel 24–48 hours in advance → 50% refund
  • Reschedule for free if done at least 24 hours before departure

Inside these timeframes, we’ll still try to help you, but refunds aren’t guaranteed.


9. Do you offer custom or private trips?

Yes. Whether you want hidden beaches, snorkeling spots, a sunset cruise, a romantic experience, or an action-packed day — we can design the trip around you.


10. Are food and drinks included?

Some tours include drinks or snacks, while others don’t.
Check the activity description for exact details.
You’re always welcome to bring your own food and beverages.


11. How far in advance should I book?

During high season (December–August), tours fill up quickly.
We recommend booking 3–7 days in advance to secure your preferred date and time.


12. Payment Methods

You can pay in cash or online — whatever works best for you.
(Please note: we do not accept card payments.)

We accept the following currencies:

Cash Payments

  • USD ($)
  • EUR (€)
  • Local currency (Caribbean Guilder – XCG)
  • USD and EUR are valued equally for cash payments:
    $100 USD = €100 EUR

Paying in Local Currency (XCG)

We use the standard conversion rate:

1 USD × 1.82 = XCG

Examples:

  • $100 USD = XCG 182
  • €100 EUR = XCG 182 (since EUR and USD are counted equally)
